David had a meeting to go to at 5:30 yesterday. His meeting was in a building right behind the flag pole on campus. At 5:25 he rushed away from me because he was so worried about being late, and I started walking home.
At 5:30, I realized David had the only set of keys to our apartment.
I ran back to the building his meeting was in, frantically calling him, hoping he would have a chance to answer his phone. Unfortunately for me, flag take-down occurs right at 5:30. This means that people in uniform where patriotically taking down the flag while the national anthem blared over the speakers and 30+ people in the area stood still with their hands over their hearts out of respect.
I was frantically walking past all these patriotic people and was so embarrassed that I had act so rude so that I could get the keys from David.
